Yes, which is why Obama could not make accurate projections about the stimulus when the economy was in free fall at the time of the projections.

Then he shouldn't have pretended to know anything. He told the public repeatedly that if we didn't act RIGHT NOW, everything was going down the drain and that absent government intervention RIGHT NOW, we were going to lose millions of jobs.

Yadda yadda yadda.

If he were vulnerable to suit, I would take the case for reckless misrepresentation (that is, positive assertions made as fact without sufficient information to justify the assertions) and I would win, too.
