One of my best friends was recently diagnosed with Stage II Colon Cancer, very treatable, and she'll be fine. Another, a client for whom I did accounting for many years, not so lucky - it was caught after it was too late, and he is dying.

They really need better ways of detecting colon cancer & polyps before it is too late. The idea of a totally noninvasive virtual colonoscopy (which, AFAIK, isn't here yet) or some other means would save a lot of lives.
