* Novell gets $12.7M in counterfeiting case Computer networking software giant Novell said that a California federal court awarded it $12.7 million plus attorney's fees in a case involving a ring of software counterfeiters. The company said it first filed the case in U.S. District Court in February 1996 because of the counterfeiting and distribution of its "Netware" software product in both the U.S. and Europe. Novell said many companies and individuals settled out of court, but some did not choose to respond to its complaint.
