Bye Bye California: this particular brand of reflation will absolutely destroy and finish off what remains of that State. Not only was CA starting the second leg down in both commercial and residential real estate, but the Sacto cuts to payroll, contracts, were also now just coming through. Interest rates and gasoline are achilles heels to the USA but they are like wounds to CA. As I have written extensively on my blog, SoCal has 22 million people leveraged to cheap gasoline. 12% unemployment and 72 dollar oil. Do I hear 15% unemployment and 100 dollar oil? I think I do. G
