The UK pound is seemingly tied to large money flows into Equities.

I can't see what else is boosting the UK pound as the recession is biting hard in the UK, and it doesn't look good in the future. Tax revenues falling, jobs disappearing, consumers tapped out of credit, shops closing.

So the probable outcome is... if the US rally in stocks peters out, the GBP takes a dive.
