Rush is right on that...even the confirmed Lefties I know are unhappy...some won't talk about it, and others will say they don't know why he is pushing such a bad idea....

They know they are committed to an idea - the one-payer system - that most people are against, and they know it. Therefore the rush to jam it through before anybody figures out what's in any of the bills and that the proposals, all claiming to leave private insurance alone, will inevitably lead to a one-payer system. As Mark Steyn points out, once a system like this goes in, it doesn't go out again, and it permanently changes the relationship between citizen and government.
