Paul,

I still have a few FUQI, but have sold most of it.Although the 1stQ revenues were lower on a sequential basis (109M vs.139M)they were still 41% better than on the 1stQ in 2008 and the EE for 2009 and 2010 remain good with about a 25% and 23% improvement according to Thomson-Reuters.<g>

From a TA point of view, the stock still remains on the UT that started in May from the $5 level and has continued to make new Hs. Projecting the trendlines, it seems that the stock could get to the $30 or $35 level (with some occasional dips along the way <g>)

With the help of the $112M 'new money' from its recent private offering, including the 'over allotment', and the fact that Chinese people are expending more money in jewelery, it seems the stock will be able to keep its strong UT.<g> The results for the 2ndQ are due on Thursday before the market opens.

CGA started its UT on Jul24 from the $7.70 level. It has 4 consecutive Qs of double digit % improvement on revenues and in the last 2Qs the earnings have improved by triple digit % improvements.<g> The pending 4thQ reults are expected to also show good improvement, since they were 57% lower last Yr. vs 2007 in spite of 18% better revenues.<g>

But FUQI looks better from a fundies point of view, with lower PE and higher relative BV and +CF. I just feel that lower priced stocks usually have a better % improvement in price. <g>

TPI has been somewhat a disappointment.<g> I bought a few on Apr3 at $1.50 based on its +CF and good insider position when it seemed that it was starting to come out from a 'cup pattern' formed from its Dec1 H at $2.25 I should have sold some on the reversal day of Jun15 at $3.50 but didn't. The stock seems to have found support at $2.50 and I have been picking a few again. <g>

The EE are for $0.45 this Yr. and $0.55 next. Will see if the TV advertising helps, since the earnings on the 4thQ last Yr were 60% better than in 2007 on 38% better revenues, so it is likely that the pending results will not have the 100% improvement it showed on the last Q. It seems that earnings and revenue comparisons always have a strong effect on stock prices,<g>

I bought some MRNA on May11 when it started to move up to $1 because I liked that they had sold their nasal business on Apr2 and were concentrating on their RNAi projects.I sold some on the spike on June9 but have been picking it back in spite of its persistent losses.<g>

The consensus 'target' from the 'analysts', as reported in Yahoo is around $3, but with good news and a better market environment, I am looking for $5 <g>

But this is not the kind of stock that you would like.<g>

I also have been playing with a few others, but this note has been a little too long. I think I better take a dip in the pool and try to do some exercise. We are having pretty good wether today.<g>
