The speaker didn't say to what extent fiber mitigates fructose or what form the fiber might take. Presumably fruits come with both fructose and fiber, which would make an apple preferable to a Coke, which has no fiber. Whether what comes with the fruit is enough to compensate for the fructose, dunno. Since I rarely eat fruit because of the sugar, perhaps I just wasn't attentive enough. You might pick up something further when you watch. I came away from that brief discussion--more a "mention" than a "discussion"-- with the notion of adding flax or chia to yogurt. <g>
