Is there any reliable maner of determining the purity of fish oil?

Given the possibility of contamination, I don't think it is a small issue, esp. if we take substantial amounts of it for an extended period.

I suppose anyone can respond to questionnaires any way they see fit. Is there any group that reliably tests it? I have seen some expensive formulations that tout their purity but I really wonder about the honesty of their claims.
