None of this is confirmed: Please someone confirm the following:

No announcement of TX deal. RNTK is, however, optimistic that it will form a relationship with TX to bring RNTK a worldwide presence and capital needed to accelerate its GTL technology.

"Equity participation" a possibility (not sure specifically what that means --> an equity stake in RNTK?

90% of equipment needed to build a GTL plant, according to RNTK, is available "off the shelf" which is good for costs.

The cobalt / iron catalyst is a significant issue. SASOL said using cobalt has enabled it overcome "technical difficulties." Don't know what those difficulties are.

RNTK CEO said iron based catalyst compared to cobalt is cheaper, easier to handle and is more applicable to a broader range of uses.

Please confirm if I heard this correctly: One of the other panelists said that using iron catalysts to gassify heavy bottoms does not produce commercially viable gasses. Yacobson shrugged his shoulders. I could have heard this incorrectly.

RNTK plant in Calcutta, India, with 300-350 bpd capacity, expected to startup in early to mid 1999.

There were executives from all the major oil and Wall Street firms in attendance.

Of all the panelists, there was a goal to reduce costs and the size of GTL plants.

Air Products & Chemicals has been given a $35 million grant to research GTL. Air Products is spending a total of around $85 million over several years to develop this technology.

Department of Energy wants to get GTL process ready before year 2005. It would help justify cost of Alaskan pipeline.

Fuels produced by Fischer Tropsch process have less emissions and better fuel economy than fuels used today.

I am confirming none of this. Other people on this list please confirm if this is correct.
