Name the private company in this (or any country that can:

Do food inspection
Do police
Do fire Department
Do education
Build and maintain roads
Regulate and inspect buildings and codes
Build and maintain airports
Control air traffic
Fight wars
Negotiate treaties
Deliver water

Private companies have been contracted out to do all of these things, including war, and usually better. No some of it is not common, police work is usually limited to security, but they have hired firms to do police work as far back as hunting down Butch Cassidy and the Kid. They did a better job than the government, in part because they could track them down in Bolivia. Lots of small airport control towers are run by controllers that work for a contractor for example. There is an contractor outfit in Iraq that does much of the fighting. Most airports are not built and maintained by the government. Private schools are better than public. Contractors are hired to regulate and maintain building codes, etc, etc.

I'd say the government does worse in every item.
