John, The Internet is not a Killer Application as far as the Pentium II is concerned. You can buy an inexpensive multimedia K6-166 PC with a good video card and get adequate performance. The two limiting factors from my experience on the Internet are Java and the modem. A faster PC might help the first, but not the second. Only when the bandwidth arrives will videoconferencing, the main killer app I can see, be really feasible. Video in general is Intel's best hope for maintaining margins. Richard
