Don't forget the World Health Organization! They DID the global survey that objectively put the US health care system at 37th in the world. They chose the factors that best represents how healthy a nation's people ARE, in aggregate. It happened that, by those criteria, the US came in 37th. France came in #1. Not coincidentally, France directly rewards it's doctors for how healthy their patients are. Isn't it the function of a nation's health care system to keep the people of that nation healthy? If not, what IS it's function?
