"On what basis should any creature without awareness or any personal interest be considered for person-hood?

My point isn't about person-hood. Its about being a human. I haven't tried to define person-hood, its not part of my argument.

If I ask you why a human should not be given a license before say 16 years of age and you answer because it is a human, it answers NOTHING.

A driver's license isn't a fundamental human right. Its far removed from this discussion, basically irrelevant. If I answered "because its a human", it would indeed answer the question, but it would be a very weird answer, and not an answer I'd actually agree with. Since your question was a "should not", "because its a human" implies that humans should not be given driver's licenses. Even if it was a "why should" "because its a human" implies that all humans should get driver's licenses, again an idea that I don't agree with.

Unlike driver's licenses, the right not to be intentionally killed is a general human right that all innocent humans have. So because its a human is a rather direct and highly relevant answer.

You may disagree with and or deny the reason, but that doesn't mean you didn't get an answer, just that you didn't get one you like.
