To all, 1. DRAM prices on the Achilles site took another dive in this week's report. 16 Mbit mostly at $4.10, though some are listed at $4.10-$4.35, whatever that means. 64 Mbit at $22, just as Mu gears up in that area. -g- However, the price I found telling was 4 Mbit chips, where MU is just about the only producer and from where they derive a lot of revenues even in this day and age. They are now at $1.10. 2. Alan Greenspan was rambling on today. Most of what he said was fluff, though I did catch him in one lie. He talked about the increase in productivity, which, of course, not only hasn't happened, but is at its lowest levels in the post-war era. I guess the propaganda and disinformation from the New Pair Of Dimers means more to his analysis than his own numbers. Yes, there have been isolated quarters where productivity has done slightly better, only to do slightly worse the next quarter. The trend is still flat to down at a crappy level. Good luck, MB
