Actually, I probably have more college hours on the subject of QC and statistical QC than anyone posting here, I would guess. So I know a little about it.

It sounds like you have knowledge of people's educational and (more importantly) industrial backgrounds here...sounds presumptuous to me. In any case, a few course at college gives you enough knowledge to be a neophyte.

But there is no doubt that QC problems are caused, in significant part, by the unworkable union contracts. But the reality is we have people doing jobs that should be done by robots and computers. As long as you have that you're going to have quality problems.

That's just ignorant bullshit you'd hear on a trip to the watercooler. You just don't know what you are talking about.
