PS - note I made no mention of sports and venue tickets Seen that, but not recently, not in many years. THe concern - imo - tends to be overrated. I think they passed all sorts of laws about it some years back. Docs - typically - value their integrity and their duty towards patients. Few - if any - would budge for a lunch or a trinket, imho. As far as "pill man".... As you can see from my remark (to which you replied), I admire modern pharmaceuticals. People manipulating molecules to create other molecules which have precise and clean bioactivity.... I think this is nothing short of amazing. We could do OK for a while with the statins or blood pressure meds we have today.... but if the flow of new antibiotics stalls, we may all get into major trouble. I don't like some of their marketing, that's true. WRT their political influence - the only cure and prevention of the corporatist malaise is limited government. If politicians wouldn't have all this power to "deliver the goods", business people wouldn't have much interest in "buying" them.
