the drug companies do not waste money. their spending is targeted and effective

Determining the effectiveness of this sort of indirect "brand awareness" advertising must be even more difficult than determining the effectiveness of a new drug!

I am glad you can be so positive...

I admit that I believe that much advertising expense aimed at professionals is just window dressing regardless of the promotion and hype of the creators and salesman for the advertising industry... It's effectiveness is rarely if ever tested in a properly constructed double blind trial ;-)
