Do you really believe our lifestyle is markedly more unhealty than Europeans? They eat fatty foods and smoke like chimneys! They abuse drugs and alcohol at least as much as we do. They seem to bathe half as often as us.

But, they DO have a social safety net that puts ours to shame. THAT's the major difference.
