A top aide to President Obama told Bloomberg TV that the president may accept non-profit health insurance cooperatives instead of government-run health insurance. The administration "would be interested" in the cooperatives as an alternative to government health insurance if the co-ops provide consumers with more choices and competition, said Nancy-Ann DeParle, the director of the White House Office of Health Reform.
