Those who make the tool of record for the future Intel designs will be the survivors. That is not the case. Nikon is tool of record for the most critical layers on Intel's 32nm process, but ASML is clearly the dominant lithography supplier. I can only imagine how badly they beat their suppliers up for the best price.
