Dante, you overlooked my comment, that France - and certainly Italy - are de facto belly up. Just check the interest rate Italy now pays for state loans vs. other center EU states. So how did Italy run out of money?? The fact is that the spending is way over the intake. That's where the Obama health insurance would put the US within a couple of years, a decade or 2 maybe, but that's where your new country would end up. Italy is a great place to live and spend time and as a EU senior citizen, IMO Italy offers a true heaven to anybody with some culture. That, of course, is a very selfish and short term way to look at it. Taro
