EcoTyre Technologies agreed to aquire Tire Group International Inc. Terms weren't disclosed. In a press release Wednesday, EcoTyre said Tire Group, a Miami-based wholesale distributor of tires and automotive products, has annual revenues of about $34 million. The company is expected to have increased revenues in 1998. Tire Group's president and founder, Antonio R. Gonzalez, entered a five-year employment agreement with EcoTyre to serve as president of the new unit. EcoTyre recycles old tires by utilizing European remolding technology to manufacture and distribute a line of replacement automobile tires. The company had $2.9 million in sales in fiscal 1997.
