Americans should quit looking at the Canadian medical system for ideas to prop up selling universal healthcare in the U.S. Canadian medicine is subsidized in huge part by the U.S. pharmaceutical industry which we ripoff to make generic drugs. The taxes from the sale of those drugs that we sell back to you and to users here help pay for Canadian universal healthcare. All our diagnostic equipment is bought from the U.S. some it second hand Almost all our domestic trained doctors and nurses leave for the U.S. soon after graduation and the greater part of our practicing doctors come from India and South Africa. As soon as you adopt our system both systems will collapse.
