At least you're saying something other than, "You don't agree with everything I say so you must be a liberal fool".

I think we will get some congressional turnover in 2010 and 2012 but I'm not so sure it will do much good. Since Newt left the Republicans haven't exactly been very frugal or "balanced budget" minded. We didn't need that big Bush tax cut. We were finally starting to get our fiscal house in order and we really needed to with the baby boomers retiring and Soc. Sec. and especially Medicare ready to blow things wide open. Instead we went right back into deficit mode. Cheney's brilliant remark, "Reagan proved that deficits don't matter" REALLY ticked me off.

I especially like your part about, "insure that congress lives within the rules passed upon the peons". I think we should INSIST that future candidates for congress AGREE to live by EXACTLY the same rules as us. I'm not sure WHO insures congress, but I think we should get EXACTLY the same deal they get.
