SRS has zero chance of recovery. Double inverse short strategies against good yielding reits will put the indexes at zero. Negative total return investing from here. Can you imagine trying to stay double short the market in 2003 for any extended period of time. These designer "risk" trades are never to be touched again.

If they are around in 6 months, SRS might be good for a small bounce for a profit taking pullback next January. Very low probability they will still be standing. If I wanted any market hedging that had a legitimate chance of working, the DUG might be a good one to consider - even now. It should do well if oil prices contract with a new bull market for the US dollar.
