That's exactly my point. The contracts are bilaterial and blew up last Fall. As blown up firms were taken over by the governments to prevent domino effect from counterparty defaults, the printing press is now on the losing side of bilaterial contracts. The proper description of the new financial system is AIG situation at large. So, things were fixed, but exactly the way gold bugs predicted they would be, with corresponding inflationary implications.
