Agreed; in stocks and addresses we see stress only on single names (like CIT, or some carmakers or fraud-ridden entities) but no systemic stress. Where I also expected some stress is on budgets thanks to falling tax revenues and escalating public debt. Yet this day of reckoning never seems to come.

Escalating UK debt? no issue, the BOE buys it all. Californica run out of money? No problem print some IOUs and banks are gagged to discount them. FNM needs another 10B for underwater mortgages? A small amount..

We don´t have fast markets on drops, more, fast market on hyperboles, right now.
