As someone who has intimately examined the cost of ethanol production in Brazil over several months on assignment at one of Brazil's largest mills and distilleries years ago as part of a M&A DD assignment, I would like to see the source of the statement indicating the price of ethanol is below the cost of production. I really do not think most people understand how low the true cash cost of ethanol is in Brazil. A statement like that is akin to yelling fire in a theatre IMO. The author does not care, obviously (or maybe he does a little too much).
