My wife went to her doctor in San Diego Tue afternoon before Thanksgiving because of abdominal pains, he recommended and arranged for a CAT scan Wednesday and it was done Saturday 3 days later and right smack in the mid of the Thanksgiving weekend.
She picked up the films Monday, went back to Germany Tuesday and underwent 5.5 hours of emergency surgery Wednesday afternoon there.
An heliobacter pylori infection of the transversal colon was detected and 2 feet of it including the curvature next to the descending colon removed.
Within same 5.5 hours this highly skilled surgeon even succeeded in reconnecting the 2 ends of her colon.
The root cause not found, she has a history of auto immune problems, which may be an explanation.
