One, you pulled the numbers out of your ass. Two, which is it - 100K or 200K? Three, what does that mean in a country of 300M +? Four, how many die as a percent of the population in other countries due to similar FU's and how does that compare to here?

And how many in other countries die of their injury or illness BEFORE they even get to the hospital?

I don't know where this number comes from, either. I know that in my lifetime I've known of one person who died from an "error" in a hospital -- that was 30 years ago. In this instance the hospital was sued -- and lost -- to a point of near death. I would think if the numbers were that large, we wouldn't have any hospitals left with funds to operate.

This does just look like a number pulled out of someone's ass. Mistakes happen but they aren't that frequent; when one does happen -- like a wrong-side surgery -- it is big news.
