This doctor is raising a major concern. Moreover, I am convinced that the costs of premiums, litigations and awards is DWARFED by the costs of "defensive medicine". What other nation supports such an enormous (per capita) medico-legal industry as we do? Canada? Britain? Any nation on earth? Probably, none.
