I read your link. The only place where ammunition is mentioned has to do with handgun ammunition that is armor piercing. Which is totally different from a ban on all ammunition or a huge hike in taxes on such.


You have a reading problem - the issue was the tax hike Obama and crew would not disavow - pretty simply to deny - yet they choose not to do that. It was a claim made by the NRA based on Obama's comments himself.

As for ammo types - all ammo/calibers even ammo not expressly designed to be armor piercing can in fact pierce armor at the right velocity and distance. Headshots are always good and sort of negate the whole armor piercing debate - besides armor piercing usage is so low if ever an issue - just more worst case fear mongering.
