Last year I spent 2 weeks as an Internet Researcher for a company in London that hires/sells barges to the oil industry for use in offshore construction. I was surfing the Net looking for anything and everything. Part of what I did involved 1.) finding industry sites and 2.) searching the world's press to look for deals going down. I was amazing at the magnanimity of the oil industry. They own the world. We've heard little from this corner about the Y2K bug, but I am quite sure that they have a massive amount of work to do. And what's going to happen to Lukoil? Yikes!
