What you guys never understood or have forgotten is that the Iraq war was over the combination of support for terrorists with WMD ambitions. The CIA told Bush right up to the eve of the war that Iraq was on the verge of having WMD's that could threaten us. Tenet, Clinton's CIA head retained by Bush, said the WMD's were a slam dunk - thats a quote from Colin Powell. I recall reading The Gathering Storm: The Case for Invading Iraq by Kenneth Pollack - a Clinton era ME and intelligence expert. Its what convinced me to support the war. This is all why the Clinton's and their administration's people all supported it too. The war authorization bills were bipartisan votes.
