Civil War,anyone?? O are not these times sooooo neat---not.
TH, if both sides arm the Racist Aryan Nation mentalityor the "The South will Rise Again" elements and also those that Hate them arm( and what choice do they have but to arm themselves, really), the country will disembowel itself,again.
Maybe because i grew up just north of the Mason-Dixon line---(great grand pap fought with Yankees, Little Round Top but one of his engagements) and maybe because i was a kid when wearing Blue or Grey uniforms(i was ALWAYS Blue), and fighting PLAY Civil War, i have this feeling, that the greatest wound in American History, never healed.
This country has revealed it can tear itself apart already, so it could do it again.
Remember it was not until after the Vietnam War that we calculated we had finally, in all wars post the civil war,just surpassed the estimated dead of the Civil War---and it will always be an estimate, as a significant amount were buried fast and in unmarked graves.
We don't know the count of those that just never came home.
