Fund managers still selling to pay for distributions, and with the fear generated in the market recently, those distributions might be larger than these managers expected, and so they may need to sell more. The market may not really climb until next week. By that time, the fund selling, which must be done by Oct 31, will be over, and the real buying will begin. I may be able to buy some cheap Dell calls after all.

BTW, this is the reason for buying options over time. I bought on Tuesday because I wasn't sure if the market would jump from there, being so low. But I still have most of my cash, and ready to buy on Friday, when options might be a lot cheaper because of time premium decay and because there might be a last minute rush by fund managers to sell on Friday to meet the Oct 31st deadline.
