GTE down below $42. Looks as though it's suffering from similar MCI sickness which infected British Telecom.

I don't understand why MCI is 35sh if GTE offering $40 cash. I understand time value of money, but MCI was $38 immediately after GTE announcement. To me, this says that GTE offer for $40 cash is not as good as before for some reason. And MCI price doesn't indicate a higher offer from Wcom.

I don't get why MCI trading so low given GTE's cash offer.
