>>I'd suggest to you that ten years from now no one will even know what the "Inflammation Factor" was.<<

while i can't speak to the accuracy of the creator of that particular metric, i can do believe the data supports that anti-inflammatory diet is not only not going anywhere, it is saving lives, improving healthy, reducing pain and helping athletes win gold medals *today*.

the diet that showed an 83% reduction in diabetes didn't contain much dairy.

medpagetoday.com

cme.medscape.com

the people eating lots of dairy had 5x the diabetes cases.

of course, what does a study of 13k people mean when your study of one showed showed cholesterol stays low when one eats lots eggs?

just like smoking isn't bad for you because someone has a dad who smoked their whole life and lived to a ripe old age, right? gotta love "science" practiced at its best!

btw, i agree the data on cholesterol is weak. 50% of heart attack sufferers have normal cholesterol and 25% of heart attack sufferers have *zero* traditional risk factors. after 70 years of age, there is *zero* correlation between cholesterol level and heart attacks.

the data also shows that the best drug against heart attacks is aspirin - and anti-inflammatory with zero impact on cholesterol. for those with logical abilities, there is a clue as to a significant root cause of heart disease.

>>A Mediterranean diet is terrific and contains plenty of eggs.<<

the data shows that the high in egg yolk version resulted in significantly higher levels of diabetes.

once you know what arachidonic acid does, you'll understand the mechanism/

as an anecdotal aside, fwiw, i had a friend who wouldn't go near eggs due to ulcer pain. when i made her eggs using egg white egg substitute, no problem. this is the same friend who spent $10k out of pocket to image her back to see if they could identify the cause of half decade long back pain.

an anti-inflammatory diet enabled her to eliminate her back pain within 36 hours (slept on back for first time in 5 years) and she was off her ulcer medication within 4 days. her exact quote to me was,

"i can't believe it, the inflammation is gone!"

i never used the term inflammation when discussing this diet with her. she didn't have to be told. she felt it.
