How does that stack up to the "mandatory end of life counseling", "they are going to kill grandma" and all of the other lies that are being spouted about the various plans?

I think there was legitimate confusion over the end of life counseling that results from bloggers trying to read a bill and make sense of it. Attorneys have to do that. If one reads the bill and does not comprehend how the bill fits into existing law, that conclusion would be reached. The news media shouldn't have run with the story.

In a hotly debated topic like this one there are going to be misunderstandings and confusion.

But it is the Obama team, not the opposition, who is spreading misinformation in an effort to control the situation. Obama's position is well known -- that he wants SOMETHING as a stepping stone to SGP.

Luckily, it is starting to look as if the government option is dead or at least near death. We [taxpayers] may have dodged a bullet.
