Aqua-Pure Expands into Marcellus Shale of Pennsylvania with Eureka Resources

Calgary, Alberta CANADA, August 12, 2009 /FSC/ - Aqua-Pure Ventures (AQE - TSX Venture),
Mr. Jake Halldorson, CEO of Aqua-Pure Ventures is pleased to announce that Aqua-Pure has signed a long term contract with Eureka Resources LLC, of Williamsport, PA to lease and operate two Nomad units for deployment in the Marcellus Shale Area of Pennsylvania.
A proven and experienced leader in the Barnett Shale of Texas, Aqua-Pure Ventures has treated over 14 million barrels of wastewater and is recognized as the industry leader in shale gas wastewater treatment. The Corporation will redeploy two units from Texas recently de-commissioned due to the slowdown in Barnett drilling activity. Aqua-Pure intends to build on experience gained in the Barnett, achieving another milestone as supplying the first operational evaporator units in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Jake Halldorson says, "We have proven ourselves and this is the right time for us to expand into other shale plays. We have seen a significant slowdown in the amount of water we are processing in the Barnett. We anticipate we will be able to optimally utilize three units in the Barnett and moving to more active and profitable shale plays is a must. This deal provides us with the opportunity to expand and diversify."
Eureka has the permits required and operates an existing first class treatment facility in Williamsport, PA. The two Nomad units are expected to be operational in Williamsport by November.
