The governments subterfuge has been effective.
Toxic assets placement and valuation has been largely buried in the minds of taxpayers even though the acronym (TARP)stands for Toxic Asset Relief Program.
Remember the 700 billion?
It was originally earmarked for that stuff.
Oh well, we shall continue pretending.
