somewhat misleading title "How American Health Care Killed My Father"

As you may well know often times what happens is that the Editorial staff at a magazine will add what they think is a catchy title. He is talking about 50k deductible, ultimately. He mentions that his plan would take a generation to fully implement. His point is to discern catastrophe differently which I think is valid. He mentions a bunch of other ways to handle the financing. You’re applying that to the existing context, I don’t think he’s saying what you’re making him out to say. So much for the level of discourse.

You may well disagree with him, but he is definitely not spewing the Republican line, you should take a look at his political contributions and remove the blinders occasionally. For ex. I don’t see anyone else, on either side of the aisle suggesting the elimination of all the insurance companies. How you can see that as a partisan idea is beyond me. The inability to see the true cost of healthcare to an individual, in the light of which 50k is a drop in the bucket, is precisely one of the problems he points out. You think you aren’t already paying. Plse, get real.
