person who graduated from hospice and doing very well Happens quite often. The person must have an estimated life expectancy of under 6 months in order to be eligible. But as we all know, such estimates tend to be not an uncommon way for doctors to end up looking foolish (g). Making "end of life" discussions legally mandatory would be idiotic. All it would accomplish is make everyone paranoid -- and rightfully so.
