Roger,
I am speculating here...but I think that a lot of Asian money might feel safer in our market. As some of the foreign currencies slide against the $ valuation, it makes sense - even more when you consider worst-case scenarios of 'Chinese' influence. There is not enough exports,percentage-wise, to Asia to hurt the US economy or market significantly. I don't have enough knowledge or experience to gauge the full effects on the Pacific Rim economies but it looks like it would buoy ours even higher.
