Remember, Stark , I believe, was also the one who stood up in the congress and called Bush a killer, or something like that, over the Iraq war. He had to apologize later, but in a sense it is very true.
Nixon continued the Vietnam war for 3 years beyond when he thought it was lost and we should get out. What would you call that?
My point being we too often we let horrible things slide by so as not to be impolite. How much did our MSM really talk about the 4/5 million people in Iraq who lost their lives, were injured, or lost their homes, jobs and even had to move ot other countries?
The MSM just glossed over all of that, usually only talking about our 4,000 killed, compared to hundreds of thousands of Iraqies and millions displaced an suffering.
Point being, just telling the truth is a very tough thing to do, but Stark has always been, along with Bernie Sanders and Barney Frank one of the courageous truthsayers.
I simply do not think it is Ok, to always brush the truth under the rug, especially when peoples lives are at stake.
Segregation in the south for 100 years after slavery! I will never get over that.
In a truely civilized society, Nixon would have gone to jail for life for what he did. 3 years of war and thousands killed and injured for a politcal advantage! |
