I think the health care issue should be very simple.

1. The cost should be tax free for all - not just employees.

2. There should be a mandate that everyone should buy their insurance.

3. Insurance companies should have new standards they must adhere to - open enrollment, no caps, etc. - I know this raises the cost.

4. Subsidies should be given to those who cannot afford it.

5. Tort reform - imo - expert panels to determine fault and just awards.

Voila - no bigger government - coverage for all - reduced overall cost.
