Here is a novel idea. Since there is so much disagreement regarding what will work and won't work, why don't we try some different solutions in different States to see what works best. Since Oregon is apparently closest to single payer. We could try that in Oregon. I am sure there is some Red State that would be willing to try the Republican plan. Buy insurance across State lines. Offer term health, and guaranteed renewable health insurance, etc. We could test them for a few years and see what works and then make a decision. Seems to make a lot more sense than what Obama wanted. Pass a bill that no one read or understood in a few months time so that he will look good. lj
