I am not saying anything about racism for nationalist reasons. I do not have a nationalistic bone in my body. I do not even consider myself an American, but rather a member of the human species living on the planet earth. I make no distinctions between cultures or territorial boundaries. I am just a reporter here. The south had the most terrible chaingangs since 1865 until WWII. Leanord Pitts just wrote a book on it. They arrested blacks for nothign and then sold them to plantaion owners who then beat them to death. Few if any survived 10 years. Lots of them were kids. We had serious racism in California, but nothing like that and blacks and whites were never openly segregated. Why didn't the south integrate without being forced to do so?
