An ethics committee that considers the details of each case is a very different entity from some shadowy federal bureaucracy that imposes abstract rules without considering the details of each case. Or as James Taranto just put it, if Sarah Palin is so dumb and Barack Obama so brilliant, how did she just win this debate in a week?
